Spreading the knowledge

In order to promote research and development in the real estate sector and improve training and specialisation for professionals working within the sector, Aguirre Newman regularly organises and promotes courses, conferences and seminars, either via schools or organisations or as an independent trainer. These activities mainly concern urban planning, architecture and design and environment conservation.

In addition, the vast majority of the Company’s management team regularly speak at various events and training sessions, thereby actively contributing to spreading knowledge and best practices within the sector.

Development cooperation

The Fundación Aguirre Newman promotes fundraising via donations, and allocates a proportion of its budget to partnership initiatives in developing countries. These projects primarily involve building, fitting out or refurbishing of facilities or properties that are used for support services for disadvantaged groups, with a particular emphasis on children in countries such as India and Southern Cone countries.

Integrating people with disabilities into society

In collaboration with other foundations and institutions, as well as via the Fundación Aguirre Newman, we develop initiatives to promote independent living and removing architectural and urban barriers that restrict or make it harder for people with disabilities to integrate into society.

One of our most important initiatives in this area is the Accessibility Guide we are developing in collaboration with Fundación Once and Fundación Seres. This guide aims to increase awareness of the guidelines that ensure that people with disabilities can access and use office space independently, so they can fully participate in society.

Corporate volunteering

At Aguirre Newman, we want to encourage our employees to participate in charitable activities other than the initiatives that we have been promoting for several years. In this regard, we are continuing to work on providing the opportunities required to develop a corporate volunteering culture within the organisation.

  • Partners for a day.
  • Awareness campaigns. We work on promoting NGOs’ awareness campaigns, providing our employees with the opportunity to participate in campaigns such as giving Christmas presents to the elderly and children, and other similar initiatives.
The programmes and activities that we engage in within these areas are carried out via the Fundación Aguirre Newman, which was founded in 2000. We work on our own initiatives, or on different programmes in collaboration with third parties
